Emma Shugart, MA, LCMHCA

License Number A15563

Hello! My name is Emma Shugart. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and the owner of Olive and Vine Counseling. I earned a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. I have experience working in both community mental health and private practice settings. I believe therapy can be helpful for everyone, not just those that are struggling. I understand talking to a stranger can feel awkward. My goal is to provide a safe space and welcome the opportunity to meet individuals where they are emotionally. I strive to provide positive healing, make richer connections, and foster emotional wellness. I have a special interest in providing clinical services to adolescents (13 - 18 years old) and female-identifying adults. I also enjoy providing therapeutic services to those that request that their faith be implemented into the treatment process. If it sounds like we would be a good fit, let's connect!

Olive and Vine Counseling Values

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is at the core of a solid therapeutic relationship. We stress the importance of respecting confidentiality while also upholding the ethical standards outlined by the North Carolina Board for Professional Counselors.

Acceptance

Olive and Vine Counseling believes in meeting individuals where they are without judgment and empathizing with every concern or situation an individual brings to therapy. You will always be welcome with warmth and understanding.

Kindness

We are all human and going through life; no one truly knows what others are struggling with. Expressing kindness is a human virtue that is simple yet effective, especially when supporting people in feeling comfortable and safe enough to talk about difficult topics.

Uniqueness

You are the only version of yourself in the world! Your individuality deserves to be honored and celebrated. Olive and Vine Counseling knows how important that is in today's world. We promise to never try and change you and to appreciate you for who you are. Always.
